Da Book Joint is proud to offer our beautiful South Shore space inside Pen & Paper for private rentals. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering, book club meeting, workshop, brunch, corporate discussion, photoshoot, or celebration, our bookstore setting provides the perfect atmosphere—cozy, inspiring, and full of character.
We welcome individuals, organizations, educators, creatives, and community groups looking for a unique and memorable venue.

During Store Hours
$100/Hour
Great for small groups, meetings, conversations, and pop-up programming that can take place alongside our normal operations.

After-Hours Rentals
$100/Hour
Enjoy private use of the space after we close, with full flexibility for décor, seating arrangements, and event flow.

Full Store Closure for Private Events
Starting at $200/hour
Ideal for larger gatherings or events requiring complete privacy.
Note: Rates may be higher on Saturdays based on demand.
Food, Drinks & Clean-Up
We allow outside food, caterers, and liquor for your event.
To maintain the space and help our small team, a cleaning fee of $25–$75 will be added depending on the size, duration, and needs of your booking.

Book Clubs Are Welcome
Da Book Joint is proud to be a home for readers, thinkers, and community conversation. Smaller book clubs (under 10 people) are welcome to use the space at no cost.
To help sustain our independent bookstore, we ask book club groups to support in one of the following ways:
Book Club Requirements
To use the space for free, your group must do one of the following:

Each member patronizes the store during your meeting (books, gifts, candles—anything!)
OR -
The club purchases your next book club pick through us
This helps ensure we can continue offering a warm, accessible space for community reading and fellowship.
All book clubs must still submit the Space Rental Request form to confirm availability and reserve their date. A team member will follow up with approval and details.
